The Parental Alliance for Choice in Education is a non-political organisation representing parental rights in education matters throughout the United Kingdom. Northern Ireland had a branch formed in 2005 to focus on the pending issue of a government imposition of comprehensive schooling delivered through the Education (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 by Westminster. This undemocratic diktat was imposed against the wishes of the majority of the electorate (62%) who wished to see grammar schools and academic selection retained.
Unlike other campaigners who pretend to represent parental views PACE does not have a competition of interest in respect of schools and teachers, employment, pay and pension, faith or sectoral interests.
Parents and supporters of grammar schools are welcome to affiliate with PACE or demonstrate their support by sending an e-mail to paceni@btinternet.com
If you are unclear what is happenening at a local level in your primary school or where your grammar school stands on the retention of academic selection at 11 or the revised curriculum you should seek the independent advice that PACE offers
